For the Love of SUMMER - Challenge YOUrself #46

Hi there!!

I was lucky enough to "glue" my scrappy girl down for an
afternoon and enjoy some craft time
(it's challenging some times!!)

I joined in over at
CY 46
I was inspired by: the word LOVE, the colours; orange and
yellow (I used very little) and the sun shining
I totally stretched this Fall challenge
So, I created a Summer page in Fall !
(not too mention we had our hottest days this Fall)
For the LOVE of SUMMER
This was a fun summer day in July.
My Baba loves to eat fresh fish and go to the beach.
We took her for a drive to Erie Beach
She was having a good day and was being her sassy self
and up for allowing me to take a family selfie

Here are some close ups:
I fussy cut the collection name as my title!
My friend Laura recieved this Flamingo ribbon
and mailed it to me!
I Love FLAMINGOS
This ribbon was wrapped around a  golden box of chocolates
I recieved for my birthday - it is perfect for this page!!
This is my FAVorite part of the page
a crystal Flamingo
I received this kit for birthday (August) from my girl.
I seem to collect Flamingos but this is my very first layout
using my Flamingo stash!!

I created my page using Laura's
September 15th sketch
Stuck!? September 15th
I couldn't find enoughscrappy time to sit down and finish this page in September
but knew which picture  I was using!

Today, is the perfect day to share some Love
I attended a FABulous wedding over
the weekend of our two sweet friends!

When we received their wedding invitation,
I knew I had to scrapbook it for them.
It didn't need much, but I did mat (offset) the cut file,
then layered the solid flowers and added some sequence (adding bling)
I ordered a frame

I chose to create using the
designed by Nicole Nowosad
It almost looks like the design printed on their invitation!

Fly - Guest Designer - Stick it Down Card Team

Hi there!!

I am just thrilled to be
Guest Designing
this month
with the talented

I am so excited I am going to show you my card!!!
FLY
When I was invited to Guest Design
I peeked at the card sketch & saw the word FLY...I knew I was making this card for my nephew.
He is off to post secondary in a few weeks - and feeling a little intimidated (maybe even scared now!)  I kept it simple and followed the sketch.  [Like I said, it was perfect for what I had in mind]
The poem inside the card it perfectly fitting....for both this sketch and my nephew.

YOUR WINGS
ALREADY EXIST.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO
IS   FLY

I loved that it had three.  I used butterflies, the first one at the bottom has one crystal, the second has two and the third has three.  My interpretation was 1, 2, 3 FLY...
Exactly what my nephew needs to do while embracing his next chapter in life.
I am so proud of him!!

I wanted to have some fun and use my water colour palettes.  I wanted a fun
happy palette.

Here is your sketch:
Stick it Down Card Sketch - August

   Now YOUR turn...
I can't wait to see what YOU do with this Sketch!!

Remember you have until the end of August to link up
with a chance to WIN a fab prize
and /or Guest Design with SID
Good Luck!

A simple little card but

I always try to do something different,
and right now...
it's all about windows!!!

See MY World - Stuck?! Sketches May 1st

Hi there!

The best part of chilly rainy days
are creativity flowing and time to scrap.
My Girl and got to sneak in 2 DAYS
this week (that's RIGHT 2!)

We joined in over at
Here is my take:

See MY World
This is my Littles' first check up - he needs glasses
to correct a lazy eye
He was beyond THRILLED to
be "just like Harry Potter"
This paper was just what this layout called for!!
I got to get messy with some
dry brush Gesso framing my page.

Here are some close ups:
 All he kept saying was
"you should SEE MY WORLD"
fitting for my title
I created my title from a Silhouette cutfile, layered on some
torn vellum.
I chose to use some white Vellum behind a pair
of glasses and then the two on the end
only one lens...
that's what the optometrist was doing!
I added a tag with his initials (it's also hiding a hand
that was helping us chose some frames)
Behind I tucked a circle photo frame
I love this photo!
He kept saying
"LOOK - I'm a Transformer!"

Here is Laura's awesome sketch:
(I'm a fan of 3 photo sketches!!)

Cool @ 56 - Stuck!? Sketches - April 15

Hi there!

I am sharing a scrap-lift
and inspiration of my friend
and my take on her April 15th
COOL @ 56
This is hubby's BIRTHday party!
We had our crew over
(*she whispers "it was the end of a fun night so crappy
photos need lotsa fun embellies)

I used some delightful, fun acetate from Bella BLVD
(my mum shared with me )- the stars are perfect!!
I broke out my stash of Jillibean Soup

Here are some close ups:
I mixed up the title using corrugated shapes and
then using a polaroid frame to
document the birthday number
(shhh...don't tell !!)
I tucked in my journal-ing card
to document his page!
[Something new for 2017]

I used the party! word and strung it
to look like a banner

 These wooden stars were perfect
to add to my page
I inked the edges for fun
I had to include PARTY ANIMAL
as our puppy is always at the middle of everything we do.!

This page is screaming fun and that's exactly
what we were doing that night!!

Easter Memories - Stuck?! Sketches April 1st

Hi there!
Today, I am sharing an Easter page
using the Echo Park; Happy Easter collection.
Easter Memories 2012
I found these pictures and this ScrapMuch? kit
in my stash ready to be scrapped!
I love using purple for spring layouts
- I don't use this colour enough...
I added some layers of torn papers to left.
It works well with a busy word background paper.
(I couldn't have my egg behind - as it doesn't look like
an egg!!!)

Here are some close ups:
I layered the title sticker over the year date,
Robin egg blue is another perfect Spring colour
I layered some cutfile eggs. I tucked a lage one in
behind for the decorative fancy egg, and a smaller polka-dot
purple egg in front, pulling in all the Easter colours
I clustered the flower stickers and placed them on
a mini-multi-layered (3) polaroid frame cutfiles, using the Glitz Stickles
I was able to create some dots
(The Glitz Stickles stays thick)
My Little would entain my camera and I, ONLY if I let him naw
on a carrot ~ like a bunny LoL
The carrot EP Sticker Accents were fitting for this memory!

Puppy Smooches - Stuck?! Sketches Mar 15th

Hi there!!

I have been creating a little more  - YEAH!!!
My Girl and I are trying re-untie once a week
and joined in on another sketch over at
Puppy Smooches
My friend Nancy, shared this super fun patterned paper with me just a few weeks ago!
I am so happy I got a chance to create with it.
This photo was taken after our last day on
the ski hill for the season.  The sun was shinning bright
(doesn't do so well photographing but my puppy was so happy to
be back in the car to rest!)
and what's better than puppy smooches?!!

Here are some close ups:
I mixed my title with a silhouette cutfile title and Thickers
I layered the "puppy" on top of
a dogge bone
This is the perfect word sticker
LOVE is a four-legged word
I tucked in a dogge bone and paw print.
This is fun patterned paper but my pictures need
a bit of colour and pop-factor
I tucked in another bone and paw print
I pop-dotted this photo after I wrapped
it with twine and distressed the edges.

School Days - Stuck?! Sketches March 1st

Hi there!!

I absolutely LOVE this
sketch over at

I decided to do a fun page with
my Littles' school proofs
(I always have and now... I am now told it's "tradition"
- this is my last year of ordering pictures
not a fan of dated blue backgrounds without a choice)
School Days
This sketch is so perfect for docmenting school proofs,
some layers, polaroid tabs and a super fun title.
I had my Little date and thumb print his page.
This simple  but perfect page is complete.

Here are some close ups:
A fun 3D sticker phrase, my Girl (Ronna)
shared with me.
I layered, distressed and inked to give some fun to each photo
A journal-ing tag tucked in behind with all his Grade 3 info,
tucked in a "3" and an apple button
Here is another photo of the matching clip

Here is Lauras' sketch:

J & L - Celebrate - Little Red Wagon #383

Hi there!!

This past weekend we were
blessed to attend
a DOUBLE engagement party
for our dear friends

I wanted to document and gift
their special time
and thought I would work on canvas.
J & L
I choose to work in black and white.  This will keep it neutral allowing it
to be hdisplayed all year round or any where in their home.
The Canvas Frame is 8 x 10 from
Momenta - I turned it vertical.
I kept it simple as I wanted to photo as my focal point.

Here are some close ups:
J & L foam Thickers and Momenta embellishments.
I added some Gems to the flowers to give a little Bling.
I added this swirl bracket of Say it with Pearls
- so pert for this project.
Here you can see the photo acetate (this is used so dusting / cleaning
will not harm the photo over time)
I edged the photo with acrylic paint and
cascaded some Gems

I also whipped up a card
Celebrate
I wanted to do a dreamy card
because dreams do come true!!
Then celebrate
It's been a bit since I joined the girls over at
~  a visit was long over do!
Their challenge #383 is using Aquamarine!

Thank you for stopping by
