Two Scrapbook Friends - June Challenge: Warthog

Hi there

I was surfing around and found
this great sketch /craft
over at
So FUN... a sketch challenge with a crafty challenge
June Sketch and Crafty Challenge
here is my take:
Warthog
I had to do something special with this Christmas card and envelope.
As soon as I saw this challenge,
I knew -  this was what I needed to do!
How often does a Girl receive a Christmas card from AFRICA?
{ This is my FIRST!! }
( *note I covered our address for Blog world )
I chose to create using the Studio Callico collection - the colouring was bang-on!!
the title: very fitting using Memo thickers (altered)
Our friends, sent us this card
 'Animals of Africa'
Warthog
by Rozanne Tunmer
 - we received it January 16th, 2014
( LUCKY us!  To receive any mail from Africa)
I kept it simple with a few layers, adding some MS white texture effect, machine stitching
and acrylic paint.
I collect stamps but these two will look great in an album.
I am so happy the way this layout turned out!
We miss our friends and think of them often.

Amanda, thank you for sharing this sketch /craft
my hubby is so happy to put the "last Christmas card" away!!! LoL

YOU should hop over and check out the June challenge too
