                                                                            Baby

I am going to a baby shower tomorrow.  I love the washi tape and washi tape button to coordinate.
  What a fun card!!

and we also participated in a class with Laura  via skype over at
6 Great Cards

I love all the cards but my favorite is card #4 with a corset affect on the front - so girly!

I was inspired and rolled out a few more cards:
Hello 30 (masculine bday)
Happy Birthday

Happy Home

I had a GREAT day and was very inspired - I hope you were too.

FORE - Scrap Pink! ~ Crop for the CURE

Hi there!

Two weekends ago,  I had the pleasure of scrapping with an AMAZING full room of girls at
You should check them out -  all for a GREAT CAUSE!!
The group raised $1200 for the cause - way-to-go!!!

Scrap Pink ~ Crop for the Cure

It was only fitting that the layout I chose was
 Golf FORE the Girls
Fore
Supplies I used to create this LO: American Crafts Animal print, pink/black/white card stock,
black glitter Thickers, and pink bling.

The Chocolate bar wrapper was part of the swag!

This wild animal print card stock popped with pink and white. I had a lot of fun posing for this picture with my friends/co-workers and doing this layout, another take on the sketch from Stuck?!

Happy Boy - Stuck?! Sketches - September 1st

Hi there!
I received my September's Kit Club from
Scraptures
Bo Bunny "Zip a Dee Doodle"
and had the perfect picture for this colour scheme.  This is my first time playing along with

Here is my take on this great sketch from NEW owner Laura Whitaker.

Happy Boy

I had a chance to play around with some tools/techniques:  Epiphany round 14 (x2), Cricut,  tri-colour floss (blue/green/white), faux stitching, and Gelatos Colors...

I needed to create my colour of green-y/yellow, so it was an opportunity to crack open my gelato
and as you can see - it was the perfect colour and fun!

My layout includes: Bo Bunny "Zip a Dee Doodle" line, cardstock (black, white), foam dots, thickers naturel (altered), Dodz, Epiphany round 14, tri-coloured floss, cricut and a dollie

If you haven't had a chance to play along...
Stuck?! Sketches - check it out!!
you still have time to play along.

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon

Hi there!

I am a member of the Premium  Kit Club over at ScrapMuch?

The kit for August is so fun...I love all the summer pastel colours,
in my stash, I found some retro 70's pictures
that just complimented everything the kit had to offer.
This month I was privileged to a private invitation to scrap with my friend Elaine
this is what I came up with.
the sky's the limit

I just love this collection, and that I added some stitching, a button and pearl bling!!

My technique is featured !! over at ScrapMuch?

Stamped Stitching Template - Tutorial Wednesday
Hi there!

Happy hump day!  We have a special treat for you today, our tip comes form our sweet customer and friend, Danie!

I will let her do the honours of describing the how to's!  This is what she says.....

"I have been playing with my heating tool, VersaMark watermark stamp pad and stamps.

I accidentally discovered an easy way to stencil for adding some stitching to your card or layout.

Here I used my monogram R stamp with VersaMark watermark stamp pad and stamped it onto my doily cut circle.

Reveal the stamp mark.

Heat to dry to "watermark"

Secure to self-healing mat and Pierce using your craft pick.

After you have pierced the shape/letter, Start stitching.  I also added some bling....

and ta-da!!
a personalized card for my very dear friend."

Thank you Danie for sharing this technique with us, it is a great idea... any stamp you own can become a stitching template!

One further hint, if you do not own a heat gun and or VersaMark, you can always stamp the image in an ink colour that is a light version of your stitching colour.

Have a great day everyone!  And if you have a technique you would like to share, email me at iwhitaker@sympatico.ca, we would love to post it here!
