Snow Board Lessons - ScrapMuch? + Scrapping4fun

Hi there

I fell in love with this sketch over at ScrapMuch?
I know I went "ole-school" and cut my photos
round - but this is my FIRST time
Snow Board Lessons
This is my little guy's first time having lessons
I just love how it turned out (nothing like tootin' my own horn LoL)
I played around with BoBunny and MME pretty papers

Here are some close ups:
My title is a mix of cut files and Simple Stories DIY letter stickers
I added in the wooden stick as the snowboard (but first HAD to enjoy the ice cream *wink wink)
I had this linen tag in my stash
My background is a mix of:  Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Dylusions and acrylic paint
More Simple Stories DIY word bubbles
Keeping with the tags, I used The Paper Company Large Star Tags
+ rub-ons,
along with my chevron embossing folder
He's DREAMing to ski like Dara Howell one day
I fussy cut a strip of the BoBunny paper and lined it with folded ribbon
to create some depth and my Tiny Attacher to add some metallic

If you haven't played along with ScrapMuch?
here is Laura's FAB sketch
ScrapMuch? December 5th Sketch

There is still time and I would LOVE to see what YOU do
with this sketch

I also played along with
Challenge #31 - Anything Goes
(I went with a snow themed layout)

ScrapMuch? Featured Tutorial: Re-Purpose Hand Punch

SEASONAL RE-Purpose Hand Punch Tutorial

Hi there!

Today, I would like to share a tutorial
I was having a little fun with the
EK Success corner punch.

Here is another great, re-purpose for that corner hand punch

(I was looking to punch a sheet of cork;  [I chose Karen Foster cork sheet] specifically, I was  looking for cork holly - tis' the season for crafting cards)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRStJ_3siqw

Instructions:
Step 1:   Simply hold your scrapbooking foam cork and punch out corner cuts
(minimum of 2 times - but depending on how many you require) - I wanted 2
Step 2:  Remove the centers / leftovers from the punched out cork.
I used my fingernails but you could snip them using scissors.

Step 3:  Design your card /Place them on your card

Step 4:  Embellish your card / or layout

Ta-da... a close up of my finished card
I have used both the positive and negative punched out pieces

Now YOU have it, a QUICK and easy re-purpose/ use for your corner punch
and more "bang-for-your-buck"

You can hop over to the ScrapMuch? Blog
and see it  featured over there too!!

My friend Erica crocheted my flower cluster with a MME

He is my EVERYTHING...
my little angle
I can not lie, there were a LOT of hands /help
involved to make this layout come to life.
Laura Whitaker for sharing her background technique

Running Scared - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team A REVEAL

Hi there!

TGIF
Today is a BIG day here at Casa Ramirez
It is my Daddy's (aka Papa) BIRTHday and
Santa arrives in Huntsville - YES, it's our Santa Clause Parade
(we are one of the small towns that still do it at night)
....and Roman arrives - our Elf on the Shelf
has a new double sketch
Sketch-y Friday
here is my REVEAL:
Running Scared
Another check off the ol'bucket list!
We did it!! We did the Running Scared Zombie Run
(...and I was...SCARED!! - I am NOT a runner or go to the gym)
but I DID a 5km obstacle run
Left side close-up and you'll see, I used my number with the pins
 Right side close up
 It tells my story!
I used a free cut file from Nicole Nowosad @ Scrapbook and Cards Today
I used the Zombie Font cut file for my title
This is Diana and I, finally getting to the finish line - our first
2014 RUN (...and my last)
we even made it into the local newspaper!!

Here is Laura's fantastic sketch:
ScrapMuch? December Sketch-y
This is what I like to refer to as the "tell-my-story" sketch/layout
here, you have an opportunity to use "all" your photos to tell
your story - done strategically, you really don't need a lot of journal-ing!!

I can't wait to see what YOU do with this sketch

For this sketch, you have a few extra days to get your craft on
You have until December 29th
to play along and LINK up for your
chance to WIN

Snow day - Sketches4All + Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

Hi there

I had some time, as we recover from 3 straight SNOW DAY's
I found  a couple of challenges
to keep me warm and allow me to rest from all the snow removal!!
Snow day
These photos were taken in February during our Family Day outting
We met up with our "Muskoka" Family for a day of snowshoeing and a BBQ on the lake
A silhouette cut file title with some twine
I used some acrylic snowflakes along with torn cardstock and Stickles
for the "glistening" snow effect
Snowflake with a button and twine (more Stickles)

Here are the challenges I played along with:
Sketches 4 All
Sharon Bessinger

My Challenge this Month 4+ Pictures Layout, and Twine

I was challenged with this as I had already printed my photos 4x6
(and didn't think to do a double LO - HA!)
then I found this awesome sketch:

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge
(my first visit)
Nov 15th Sketch Challenge
It was a GREAT start to my Scrappy-Get-Away RETREAT!
 - 3 days of BLISS at The Elmhurst Inn

HI there!

Sharing my
Let's Get Sketchy
Team A
REVEAL
BOO!  LGS Week 3
This is my Boy playing around with glow-in-the-dark glasses!
I started with black cardstock and used a White mist to create a
charcoal effect (to blend in with Pink Paislee stickers)
The title is a Silhouette cut file that I corrugated and added
large googly eyes and a chalk marker
my paper straw adds a little emphasis to my title
DIY embelly (button + Fancy Pants Mini Alphas + Cardstock + Glossy Accents)
some chevrons, glasses and twine - perfect!
Our Boy makes us "laugh" my rub-on was a perfect
way to "capture this moment"

Here is the SKETCH by Jenessa:
LGS November Week 3
