The GREAT BULB Get-away - Let's Get Sketchy December REVEAL week 3

Hi there

It is officially the middle of the month and Monday
with a new sketch up at
Let's Get Sketchy
The GREAT BULB Get-away
I love these photos of my lil'guy -he's SO serious
when there is a job to do!!
The title is done using three different fonts
My banner is strung with white hemp, soft cloth snowflakes and wooden bulb veneers
Along with some Martha Stewart White Texture Effect with my
Tim Holtz mask, for more texture.
My journal-ing (kinda fun done this way)
"...after the storm, our Christmas bulb blew away...
you RAN all that way to
retrieve it BUT
had to check who was watching
*giggle giggle"
It is so funny because the bulb was only about 4 feet from our front door
but when you're little - I guess that's a LONG way LoL

Here is the sketch from Bev Code:
I can't wait to see what YOU do with this sketch!

FROSTY morning start
I am what you would call a "brand-whore" but Authentique (particularly this collection)

(I've had it in my stash for some time)
mixed in with newsprint and it's a WIN!
I have 10 wooden veneer (1 clip, 6 title tiles, 3 buttons)
I have three different fonts /letters for my title
My cut file is from The Cutting Cafe
- isn't he darling
To dress "Frosty" I used teresa Collins wood dots
- you'll see I did machine stitching
2 large Carta Bella stickers and Say it in Crystals - Bling
I clipped this photo and matted it in newsprint
- it's so peaceful
and added 2 word stickers just hangin'
These photos were taken in the very early morning when there is "still" in the air
with that horizon of grey but a hint of colour waking things up.

Snow Board Lessons - ScrapMuch? + Scrapping4fun

Hi there

I fell in love with this sketch over at ScrapMuch?
I know I went "ole-school" and cut my photos
round - but this is my FIRST time
Snow Board Lessons
This is my little guy's first time having lessons
I just love how it turned out (nothing like tootin' my own horn LoL)
I played around with BoBunny and MME pretty papers

Here are some close ups:
My title is a mix of cut files and Simple Stories DIY letter stickers
I added in the wooden stick as the snowboard (but first HAD to enjoy the ice cream *wink wink)
I had this linen tag in my stash
My background is a mix of:  Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Dylusions and acrylic paint
More Simple Stories DIY word bubbles
Keeping with the tags, I used The Paper Company Large Star Tags
+ rub-ons,
along with my chevron embossing folder
He's DREAMing to ski like Dara Howell one day
I fussy cut a strip of the BoBunny paper and lined it with folded ribbon
to create some depth and my Tiny Attacher to add some metallic

If you haven't played along with ScrapMuch?
here is Laura's FAB sketch
ScrapMuch? December 5th Sketch

There is still time and I would LOVE to see what YOU do
with this sketch

I also played along with
Challenge #31 - Anything Goes
(I went with a snow themed layout)

ScrapMuch? Featured Tutorial: Re-Purpose Hand Punch

SEASONAL RE-Purpose Hand Punch Tutorial

Hi there!

Today, I would like to share a tutorial
I was having a little fun with the
EK Success corner punch.

Here is another great, re-purpose for that corner hand punch

(I was looking to punch a sheet of cork;  [I chose Karen Foster cork sheet] specifically, I was  looking for cork holly - tis' the season for crafting cards)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRStJ_3siqw

Instructions:
Step 1:   Simply hold your scrapbooking foam cork and punch out corner cuts
(minimum of 2 times - but depending on how many you require) - I wanted 2
Step 2:  Remove the centers / leftovers from the punched out cork.
I used my fingernails but you could snip them using scissors.

Step 3:  Design your card /Place them on your card

Step 4:  Embellish your card / or layout

Ta-da... a close up of my finished card
I have used both the positive and negative punched out pieces

Now YOU have it, a QUICK and easy re-purpose/ use for your corner punch
and more "bang-for-your-buck"

You can hop over to the ScrapMuch? Blog
and see it  featured over there too!!
